The Galaxy S8’s price is sky high
The Samsung Galaxy S8’s price has been announced, and as expected it costs a lot. But then this is the most technologically advanced smartphone the world has ever seen, so if you need a budget Android phone go for a cheaper Samsung or a Moto G. The Galaxy S8 is the best of the best, and it comes with a high price to match.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 costs around $750 from US carriers, while the S8+ costs around $850 to buy outright from the likes of AT&T or Verizon. But the price goes up to more than $900 if you want to buy it free from the restrictions of a carrier.
In the UK you expect to pay between £42 and £54 on a 24 month contract or you can buy them outright for £689 and £779 respectively.

What’s new on the Galaxy S8?
The Galaxy S8 has been totally re-imagined and now both versions sport the curved screen glory we first saw on the Galaxy Edge phones. Not only that, but Samsung has managed to cram 5.8 and 6.2-inch screens in phones not much bigger than the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge. It’s an incredible achievement and one that Samsung deserves to be praised for. The Galaxy S8’s design is outstanding.
There’s also a new processor, Bixby AI assistant, Iris scanning security and you still get the goodies of water-resistance and a microSD card.
The camera has also had a few improvements, especially the front facing one that comes with autofocus and an 8-megapixel sensor.
