Samsung has become known for having some of the best smartphones on the market. The cogs for the Samsung Galaxy S8 are already in motion to make it one of the biggest launches of next year. The truth is that the smartphone market is very easy to predict, as we know what modems, camera technology, and processors that the Samsung Galaxy S8 has to utilize a year before the phone is released to the public. The Samsung Galaxy S8 is highly likely going to have a 1/1.7 image sensor, a 4K/UHD display, and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 830 chip.
One of the largest rumors about Samsung is that they will be releasing 5 devices to their flagship line. This rumor includes the foldable Galaxy X. There are also rumors around the internet about the Samsung Galaxy S8, S8 Edge and the Note 8. While we are still months out from the release of the Samsung Galaxy S8, there is a lot about the phone that is still a mystery. Here are what rumors we think are true.
It is highly likely that Samsung will stick with the same release schedule with the S8. This would mean that its release would be sometime in March or April 2017. Most of the galaxies have been released during April, but the Galaxy S7 was launched during March. The earlier date was due to the Mobile World Congress being held in February 2016 instead of its normal March dates. With the dates for the Mobile World Congress in 2017, it is hard to tell the exact date for launch of the Samsung Galaxy S8.
This new beast is already expected to be one of the most highly anticipated smartphones to launch in 2017. Like many other of the flagship galaxy phones, there is the expectation that it will have top end spec. It is still too early to say exactly what the specs the Samsung Galaxy S8 will have. However, we have good idea of most of the features for what is on the market and being released shortly.
The processer for the Samsung Galaxy S8 has two options; there is the Snapdragon 820 by Qualcomm and the Exynos 8890 from Samsung. The most likely option is that Samsung will use both, so they are able to launch the smartphone early on in 2017. There is much known about either of these chips.
Like most other of the Galaxies and the Galaxy Edges, the Samsung Galaxy S8 is going to fall somewhere from 5.1 inch to 5.5-inch displays. The Samsung Galaxy S8 could be larger as the Nexus 6 is 6 inches by the largest phone on the market. There are rumors that the Samsung Galaxy S8 is going to be 4K, but Samsung just switched to QHD in the Galaxy 6 so they will most likely stick with those panels.
Like any flagship model, there will be rumors circulating until the day that the Samsung Galaxy S8 is launched. It is really hard to know exactly how the Samsung Galaxy S8 is going to be until Samsung provides us information.
