The truth is that the smartphone market is very easy to predict, as we know what modems, camera technology, and processors that the Samsung Galaxy S8 will utilize a year before the phone is released to the public. It has been rumored the Samsung Galaxy S8 will have a 1/1.7 image sensor, a 4K/UHD display, and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chip. But how much of that is true?
One of the largest rumors about Samsung is that they will be releasing 5 devices to their flagship line. This rumor includes the foldable Galaxy X. There are also rumors around the internet that Samsung will announce the Galaxy S8, S8 Edge and the Note 8 at the same time. Now we’re getting very close to release we know that’s not true. Galaxy S8 Features
This new beast is already expected to be one of the most highly anticipated smartphones to launch in 2017. Like many other of the flagship galaxy phones, there is the expectation that it will have top end spec. It is still too early to say exactly what the specs the Samsung Galaxy S8 will have. However, we have good idea of most of the features for what is on the market and being released shortly.
The processor for the Samsung Galaxy S8 has two options; there is the Snapdragon 835 by Qualcomm and the Exynos 8895 from Samsung. The most likely option is that Samsung will use chipsets, which is similar to what they did with the S7.
We know that Samsung has been buying up as many Snapdragon 835 chips as it can get its hands on, leading to LG having to make do with the Snapdragon 821 for its LG G6.
Unlike most other of the Galaxies and Galaxy Edges, the Samsung Galaxy S8 is going bigger with two versions being leaked. One is 5.8 inch and the other a 6.2-inch beast. That would make the Samsung Galaxy S8 larger than the 6-inch Nexus 6. There are rumors that the Samsung Galaxy S8 is going to be 4K, but it looks like Samsung is giving the resolution only a moderate boost to 2,960 x 1,440 pixels compared to 2,560 x 1,440 on the S7.
The S8 will be water-resistant, like previous phones, and will come with a microSD card slot and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Take that Apple!
Like any flagship model, there will be rumors circulating until the day that the Samsung Galaxy S8 is launched. It is really hard to know exactly how the Samsung Galaxy S8 is going to be until Samsung provides us information.
